Welcome to the first edition of Loot Squad’s Quarterly Recap. We look back at everything that has happened with the company and in our community. There’s quite a bit to unpack over the last 6 months! Lets get started…
Loot Draft
We created an internal Axie Draft Software that was used to host our second draft-style tournament. We were the first tournament in Axie’s Esports Grant 2! The draft website allowed for the 16 participants to take turns selecting 7 Axies that they would use to create their teams throughout the entire tournament process.
Since all Axies for the tournament were provided by Loot Squad, it evened the playing field for the participants. The draft style tournament allows players to be competitive based on their ability to create synergistic teams and recognize ways to counter their opponents. The amount of Axies they have at their disposal no longer matters. Players that own 3 Axies or 1000 Axies are equals in this format.
Ronin ($RON) Acquisition
Loot Squad is committed to building our presence in the Axie Infinity community. One of the ways we plan on contributing is by helping to secure the Ronin network when the opportunity is available.
We have strategically acquired enough RON to run a Ronin Validator and help bolster the security and decentralization of the network. We believe with our tech team we can be a valuable asset to the future of Ronin.
Loot Squad Entered The Dark Forest
One of the games that we are very excited about is Crypto Unicorns! Loot Squad owns some land plots and unicorns as we eagerly await the game launch in May. In the meantime we were able to play the DarkForest Mini game and earn some Unicorn Milk ($UNIM), LootBoxes, and Shadowcorn Eggs.
The Shadowcorn Eggs will play a role in a future version of the Dark Forest while the LootBoxes & Unicorn Milk has given us a head start for the gameplay! We will be able to start breeding and fill out land with unicorns.
Taking a Gamble on Ice Poker
Another game that we are very excited to be involved in is Decentral Game’s Ice Poker.
Loot Squad has purchased ICE wearables that our adventurers can use to play poker in Decentraland and collect a share of $ICE rewards each day. The community is loving the fun and competitive atmosphere that playing poker in the metaverse provides. Some of our Ice Poker players even stream their sessions on Twitch!
Partnering with Fancy Games
We partnered with Fancy Games to make a purchase of Fancy Birds before their initial sale in February. We even designed our own Fancy Bird! Meet Sir Loot:
We purchased 100 genesis birds and we are breeding more babies that can be used in the initial gameplay.
The Fancy Games team is currently testing the lending capabilities so that we can get as many of the Loot birds into the hands of our community. In the meantime we are helping to test any alpha functionality that we can for the team.
Solarbots
Another upcoming game that we are eagerly awaiting is Solarbots. Solarbots is a play and earn game that combines beautiful and unique art with engaging lore and storytelling. We are still deciding on the faction that we will represent, but we can’t wait to start playing!
We purchased 400 MK1 bots during their initial sale and we’re researching the upcoming Guild and Player House sale. We plan on establishing ourselves so that the Loot Squad community can thrive in the world of Solarbots.
Legends of Venari
We have been advocates and very involved with Legends of Venari since day 1. LoV is an amazingly fun game where you set traps and catch Venari. Eventually you will be able to trade and train your Venari to build a powerful team. These elements of Pokemon appeal to many of our NFT gamers.
We currently own 100+ passes which can be used to play the game. Additionally, we manage another 220+ passes for other players. One of these players was our first Loot Alliance member (more below)! Helping to manage passes allows many people in our community to enjoy the game and build their Venari collection.
Launch of the Loot Alliance
We have initiated a soft launch of the Loot Alliance, but we did it with a big name! We officially added Cozomo de’ Medici (Snoop Dogg??) as our first alliance member!
You can read more here: https://www.cryptotimes.io/snoop-dogg-collab-with-loot-squad-to-encourage-metaverse-gaming/
We will utilize the Loot Alliance to build strong strategic partnerships which will help to empower our community.
Bolt (Soon)
Behind the scenes we have been working on a community engagement tool that we hope to release to the public before long. We are currently running some closed-alpha testing.
If you are a Discord server owner or a community manager and are looking for a tool to help build engagement in your community, please reach out to us.
