Loot Squad Showdown Tournament

Adventurers we are happy to announce that the second edition of the Loot Squad Showdown is coming later this month. On January 29th, some of the top Axie players in the world will battle to win prizes in AXS.

The draft format will be back for this tourney with a potential twist that will be announced as we move closer to the tourney date. We are looking to experiment with this format and use it as a platform to create our own rules set for future Axie esports events that we will call LOOT Rules.

Competitors for this tourney will be hand-selected. Ideally having a participant from 16 guilds is our goal. We will release more information on our selection process as we move closer to the tourney start date.

Event Schedule — Here are the details:

Axie Draft — Thursday, Jan 27th, 8 pm est. (Required)
All 16 competitors will participate in the Axie Draft which will serve as the Axies a given participant will use for the entire event.

The draft style format will see players draft a team of seven Axies (two full teams and a wild card axie).

Loot Squad Showdown (Pro Invite Tourney)
Date: Jan 29, 2022, & Jan 30th
Start Time: 9 am Eastern Standard Time
Prize Pool: 150 AXS
Participants: 16 (Invite Only)

Day 1 —
The round of 16 and the quarter-finals will take place on Jan 29th and will be operated as a best of 3.

Day 2 —
The Semi-Finals and Finals will take place on Jan 30th. Both rounds will be played in a best of 5.

Rules / Format

Axie Pool — Players will use Axies they drafted during the Loot Draft. No players will be permitted to use Axies from their wallets at any time during the tourney.
